Typography Design | Spatial Design

Inspired by John Conway's Game of Life, this typeface was designed to live and die on its own terms. The letterforms are built on cellular logic — neighborhoods of cells creating form, just as Conway's algorithm creates and destroys life through proximity and pattern.

The typeface was then coded in Processing to animate independently, with toggles built in to change position and color in real time. The conceptual installation extends the same parameters into physical space — a form made of cells that itself becomes a cell. The project sits at the intersection of type design, generative systems, and spatial thinking.
